Some nitwit can't read, I did not say I wanted to draft a guard

 

youve only been saying it since that thread came along

you clearly want a Guard, otherwise youd have shut up about it by now

 

I said JRob will want to look at them.

Since both starting OGs and the starting LT are FA after next year. Plus the OGs are the weak link there.

 

Guards in general are weak links

I think we're all set at Guard between Kline, Spain, bell, Schwenk, Kelly, Tretola,

 

1. Kline and Spain only have a year left on their deal and due for a big raise
2. Schwenke is a FA and sucks
3. Kelly is an OT, too tall to be a decent OG
4. Tretola still cannot pass block for sh1t

 

If we draft anyone for our OL I would hope that it is someone who can play Center. We have a giant hole in our OL depth if Schwenkie leaves because we have no other OC's on our roster iirc,

 

Kelly is a much better T than G, Ill give you that, but hes listed as both

Schwenk will be easy to retain, nobody is racing to sign that guy

and Tretola was a project from the start but they still felt good enough to pick him, thats your young guard you want...

 

Kline can play C if he had to. He apparently is not the best snapping in the shotgun though.

 

Schwenke will want to compete for a job somewhere. Hes not gonna take backup money just to play here his entire career. Makes no sense.
