Titans need a TE so bad

Why Cook is not as effective in the end zone or red zone..

Simple, with a more confined space he is less effective. Most of his catches are over the middle between the 20s.

Teams are not stupid they are not going to put their put their slowest linebacker on him.

Could we use him on some fades into the corner? Yes i would like to see that.

 

We saw it yesterday. Cook fell over himself...

 

Other teams are more effective throwing the ball and have more options for defenses to worry about.

Common sense, look at the Colts production without Manning. Are those guys producing similar numbers? We held them to 82 yards in the air.

Hernandez on the patriots is a similar player to cook. Not a good blocker but with Wr like skill set. look at his numbers.

Go watch the saints game again. Cook was split wide 80 percent of the time. Came in as a Slot receiver/TE often but hardly EVER went over the middle, most of his routes were seam routes and going deep. Never one crisp slant route quick throw and catch that he could eat defenses on. Even good man coverage with a well placed ball and cook using his body correctly would be completed.

Yeah this is BS how this guy thinks he can lead our team in receiving yards and have over a 100-yard game with a fumble and expect to stay on the team. NO THANK YOU!

Question, what do you want in a TE that Cook doesn't offer?

If it's someone who doesn't fumble as much, good luck. You'll need to trade for a current good TE to get that.

And on that goal line play, Cook isn't meant to be running those routes anyway. Blame injuries for that because those are Britt's routes. In our ideal offense, Cook isn't being asked to do those.

 

Nor should he be out wide. I don't think we sent a single pass his way on any of those routes. There was a reason he was being converted to TE

 

One that doesn't cost a 2nd round draft pick.

 

People screw up. Cook has been productive and could be even better next season.
