4.5 really isn't fast though. SO that's not established.

If a WR ran a 4.5 at the combine, his stock would fall dramatically. Ask Hakeem Nicks.

 

4.5 is plenty fast enough when you're 6'3" 218.

 

But the point is that Nicks and Crabtree, two guys about the same speed and ht as Mariani were 1st round picks and are also good WRs. If Mariani runs crisp routes, has good hands and can make things happen after he catches the ball in the open field he certainly could be a solid #2 WR or #3 slot guy.

 

I'm not "hating" on him at all.

How are you being realistic? All your points on how he will fail, have been debunked.

 

Deuce isn't hating this time guys, all I've seen him say is that Pro Bowl stats are literally worthless, as NO one gives a crap, and that preseason is also a crap shoot. Normally all good points, but not when were talking about a great kid developing his game in TN. Mariani gets a pass for that.
