If that did happen, the question then becomes would Chow actually be kept around? Isn't Fish one of the main reasons Chow came here in the first place?

This is where I'm torn. I want a great, innovative coaching staff, but I also want stability for VY.

Ya'll sound as if this team is ran by a bunch of idiots. Guess what?????? It isn't. These guys know what they are doing. Why is that so hard for some to understand? So if you were the head coach, would we be any better off then we are right now? Think about how close we came this year to winning a lot of the games we lost. How could you have turned those loses into wins?????
I'm sure you could have. We have had a bad year. BIG DEAL!!!!!!! We have a future. I have every bit of confedence in this organization that we WILL BE BACK. Sometimes ya just need to sit back and wait. Good things come to those who wait. I fully believe that that will happen to us. Just give it a little time.

We just signed a LB with 6 years experience, yet we drafted three. Fisher does have a thing for veterans with experience.

Fisher's MO has over a decade of practice in play............no one can argue this point. And this team over Fisher's and FR existence is now a 500 team...............the last three yrs have been abysmal in terms of proformance and execution..............so yes this team is run by idiots and the numbers and play and off the field incidents fully support that line of thinking. You may not agree with it or like it but from a pure numbers stand point this staff has failed miserably. They have chosen to hide behind the talent gap and use the cap as a reason...............there are close to ten games we have lost in the last three yrs based upon coaching alone..........that would represent over a 40% improvement in the won lost record of this team.............if you dont think their decisions have impacted this team your plain blind and totally unobjective in my view. They have made bad decision after decision and yet some folks still want to keep the status quo.........That is precisely the definition of stupidity according to many theorists including einstein..................I could understand keeping them after a couple of gaffs but this staff has made legions of them...............Signing Collins and sitting LW and many of the young guys when our performance is already cast in stone is among the newer ones.................the record does not lie and neither do the offield incidents or the players who we drafted who have killed chemistry in the lockeroom.................Sure, some of it is on the players execution and not having the right guys in spots, but alot of it is on the scheme and the staff...............but yet universally everyone says getting rid of the staff is in error...............well I will be the devils advocate and say................No it is not. They must go.

Somebody must go, I'm not sure who it is. I'd settle for blaming the talent and failed drafts on Reese and giving Fish another chance with a new GM. His rope is clearly getting shorter, but he's got a little while longer in my book. Maybe I have the same problem of sticking with me vets too long.

We do amazing things sometimes. If you look at the stats from the game last week, you would think we won. We put up 168 yards rushing on a team that leads the league in rush defense. We put up 26 points, which is over their average. All this with a rookie QB. Yet we managed to allow over 300 yards passing, and blew coverages left and right. We couldn't move the ball in the second half, and went scoreless for over 40 minutes. Madness.

Fisher's strategy of going with the vet first makes more sense when you have a winning team in place (the good years) with a bunch of quality players already and you just want a player to not make mistakes. The strategy stinks when you are shallow on talent and the team is losing.

Sure there is plenty of blame to go around. IMO we need a complete transformation. We need new coaches and a new GM. In alot of ways I would put less blame on GM than I would on coaching and player development but I sense Reese may be the scape goat and Fisher might be the one who stays.

As for keeping Chow for VY. No way! I have been very dissatisfied with the offensive play calling from Chow for the last 1.5 years (how about our 3rd and short %) and his ability to adjust during games is terrible. IMO Chow is one of the big reasons we don't get more from our WRs and RBs. I'm sure Chris Brown isn't a big fan of Chow considering his offense took a guy who averaged 5 yards a carry and ran for over 1000 yards and made him an inactive. I also like the development of Young so far but don't see our offense utilizing his skills nearly to the level I think we are capable.
I have only one word for our DC, sucks.
