I think this was just a way for them to motivate McCarthy to come back pissed. It's good for both sides and he should be back in game shape within a couple weeks. I think the coaches know he's the better player also but needs to be reliable when it matters and get into his head he's not going to last long in this league if he's always on the sideline. The hamstring happened most likely because he wasn't in game shape and over exerted himself. I hope he can get his **** together though because we are a completely different D when he's playing.

at least McCarthy will now be on the field less plays and less chance of injury

I'm okay with this for now. McCarthy is the better player no doubt, but not starting the first couple games may work out in his favor. Get into game shape and as healthy as possible. I liked the energy I saw from MF, him and Brown were all over the field. :injured:will get his playing time, maybe with it being a little less it'll be better for us as the season wears on. I'd rather see him play 14-16 games for 35% of the plays than 6 games for 80% of the plays. Just sayin.

Plus if we somehow do make the playoffs and you have a healthy McCarthy to toss more playing time at, that only benefits us.
