Not according to the coaching staff, but of course its a wellknown fact that goTitans members know more about the players and schemes than the coaches...

Ok.. Why do you watch the games?

Our omniscient coaching staff will make the right calls, so if we lose, we had no chance to win anyway. Might as well just look at the score.

Give me a break. I had never heard that idiotic reasoning until I got to this forum(Ironic considering this is a discussion forum) .President Obama knows much more about politics then me. Doesn't mean I should blindly agree with everything he does. I use my eyes, ears, and brain to reach my own conclusions. If these conclusions have reasonable evidence to support them, they are not invalid simply because I don't share them with the decision maker(s).

Feel free to discuss, howver just saying that McCarthy is clearly better when the coaches dont think so isnt discussing. And sorry if I put more stock in the opinion of those who actualy get to watch practices, knows if a guy is doing his resonsibility schemewise or not, etc.

What did anyone think he would say?

"The job if Fokou's unless teams gash us up the middle like the Bengals did."

If Fokou isn't getting the job done, McCathy will be on the field. I think we'll see a since of urgency from this coaching staff. They can't afford to not play the best player in every position.

There WAS a competition when McCarthy came back to TC. He lasted one day into it and pulled his hammy. He isn't better if he can't be RELIED UPON to be on the field. It's not like he hasn't been given NUMEROUS opportunities to get healthy. Hell I could be a playmaker for one play before getting injured.

I like how he's not handed this job. Iam a big Miami Hurricane fan and love McCarthy. But if he can't stay on the field then he needs to earn the job back. Especially sonce he hasnt proved much other then he has potential and made of glass. Its a good decision tho. If MF can't get it done, put in a healthy CM in. Easy decision.

    This is awesome.

I think it sends a message to McCarthy. "Stop being a little b*tch. Everyone is replaceable."

It's Fokou's job to lose. If he plays well, it'll keep the job. If not, a very good (when healthy) MLB is waiting in the wings. Simple as that.

You might as well give it to Foku. You know :injured: would be injured on the first drive and it would be Foku anyway.

McCarthy looked out of shape during the Vikings game. He isn't ready to start yet. This could be a great thing for the Titans. We drafted McCarthy to be an OLB, not a MLB. Maybe he will backup our starters and make plays at all 3 LB positions and stay healthy this year.
