Who's to decide if he did a great job? Will Caldwell be one of the best coaches ever? No. Peyton's making it easy for him now.

If we had Lendale as our feature back this year, he probably would've been fired midseason.

I mean, do you credit Manning's QB coach for the Colts' passing game being so good? No.

Anyone who saw the improvement in CJ's blocking...Byner gets the credit for that...

I agree... there's alot more to being a nfl RB then just running the ball and that's were a running back coach earns his money. picking up blitzes, catching the ball out of the back field ETC and CJ improved in all areas this yr.

What is a productive RB coach? The main issue is if teams honestly need to even have one.

Earnest Byner had less to do with CJ's success than Jim Caldwell had to do with Peyton Manning's success.

Why he was let go we don't know and that is the main issue we honestly don't know the situation so why criticize it?

^^People would not be so quick to criticize this move if Fisher would have fired other coaches whose product was so poor. Lowry is the prime example. His continued employment despite numerous years of dismal special teams only engenders the idea that Fisher's personnel decision making is grossly subjective rather on objective results.

    From Chris Johnson,

"Earnest was a good coach,'' Johnson said. "At the end of the day I felt like when I came in the league a lot of people doubted me, and Coach Fisher was the guy who … knew what was best for the team, and he pulled the trigger and drafted me. So whatever decision Coach Fisher chooses to make I can't question him about it because I feel like he's great at decision making."

The teams best player feels like the coach is great at decision making. Ouch, that's got to hurt the haters! Keep second guessing a coach of 16 years, a lot of good it done ya.
