Good call Munch, instead of a onside kick, you put the odds in the hands of this craptastic defense. grow some balls.
Yeah, that worked out well...:sad2:
Dude shut up! He obviously knew the guy pretty well. Find something else to complain about, like maybe the atrocious line play
It was stupid.
It's more than just "Oh we have 3 TOs and 3 mins left"
You have to actually evaluate your oponent.
In this scenario you ask: "3 minutes left. Can our D keep them from getting a first down? Two first downs? Can we stop Matt Ryan? Have we stopped this offense all game? Are we going to lose this game if we give them the ball again?"
And when you ask yourself those questions, YES... it was stupid.
You give your team a chance to win. By handing the ball back to that offense we might as well have walked off the field.
They were discussing how much you get paid to gain 12 yds on 13 carries...
I wasn't sure if I should "High Five" or "It Sucks" to this post to get my thoughts on CJ out there.
You put it in your defenses hands. No questions asked. You have to give the D a chance. Stopping them on D is way higher than recovering an onside kick
Also.. did anyone else notice a bad timeout call by Munch? It was the 2nd down I believe, they needed to run a play BEFORE the 2 minute mark anyways (play clock was at about 2:42) and we called the timeout anyways..
Yeah... I didn't get why we didn't do an onside kick. It was obvious our defense wasn't stopping anything.
I will say that I think we would have won this game had Locker started the whole time though... and while I certainly like Hasselbeck, I think the season is wearing him down, and maybe it is time to let the new kid strut his stuff some more.
