our offense didn't look good no matter who was running it. To me this goes back to Chow.

 

Where is our season headed?

On 3rd downs Billy Volek went 6/7. Pretty good hey? Well only 1 of those 6 completions went for a first down, and that was because Troupe did a great job breaking a tackle when he had no right to turn that play into a 1st down.

Billy might put up some decent numbers this year and I'm sure he'll hit his share of big plays, but he won't win us many games. With our defense, we need the offense to stay on the field and put together long drives if we are going to be competitive. Lendale proved he could convert on 3rd and short, but if we are 3rd and 3 or beyond, Heintrich better get ready.

Billy won't win more than 2 of his 8 starts before he is riding the pine.

 

They will declare he has a week to week injury

 

unless we Schwartz..... another season :flush:

 

If we dish this up in the regular season, then they may as well declare the whole team has a week-to-week heartlige injury. Absolutely no ticker.

 

can't blame Volek if the receivers don't go past the 1st down marker

 

Most of these were dump offs to hs backs. The receivers were running down field. My view - Billy doesn't have the mental strength to take the risks he needs to take in the clutch.

 

I don't know about that. He best throws was when he was going down field.
I still have doubts about the Chow offense more than anything else.
