Tennessee starting defensive end William Hayes says tests show he only has a sprained right medial collateral ligament in his right knee. Hayes walked off the practice field Tuesday with a trainer and doctor. He walked into the locker room Wednesday with a brace on his right knee, and he said he might miss at least a couple weeks.

Better news than I expected. Hopefully, he can get back in time for the final preseason game.

D-line numbers will be thin against Seattle. Possibly no Ford, Morgan, and Hayes.

    Is Brown practicing yet?

Hayes seems to be cursed when it comes to staying healthy.

    Glad it's not serious

Paper saying 2-4 weeks he'll be out. (http://blogs.tennessean.com/titans/2010/08/11/hayes-sprains-mcl-out-2-4-weeks/)

He'll feel it for months though and probably wear a brace. I'm glad it's not more than that. Sounded to be a lot worse from Fisher's description- I was worried about an ACL.

MCL usually result of a "pile" injury or a low block.

How about we stop wishing for the worse for this guy? Maybe our optimism or pessimism has something to do with the future...

    Let's do out part.

Hayes comes back recovered from the injury and has a great year.

    There.
