Washburn alone puts our D line in the top half of the league. But I don't care what this guy says... One of the few things I admire about Fisher is his willingness to fly under the radar. Like that time we were 10-0 and the best record in the NFL and Fox still ranked us 3rd on their power rankings!

Let these amateur sports writers over at Fox think what they wanna think. After all, Fox Sports employs Glazer, Rome, Whitlock and Kriegel which are collectively known in the Journalistic community as the "@$$clown Quartet"

Fox's Network as a whole is the epitomy of shoddy journalism.

Once we surpass that lousy rank according to him, he'd be even more retarded to try and say we did it with an easy schedule. We have the toughest schedule going into the 2010 season.

I'm sure that the defensive line will be better than last year. Think about it; yes, we lose Kyle Vanden Bosch, but Tony Brown is resigned and Jason Jones was injured a lot last year. William Hayes picks up some experience and we draft one of the best defensive ends in this year's draft in Derrick Morgan.

I think that this year's line, particularly Jones, will fair much better than last year.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here, newb. Maybe you slept through the 04, 05 and 09 seasons but those certainly weren't top 5 outings. It takes a little more then a handfull of playoff games and losing half of them to be considered top 5 over a ten year span. Ravens, Steelers, Patriots, Colts...those are top 5 teams.

Losing Vanden Bosch will probably help the defensive line and anyone who think the Browns have a better anything than we do has no credibility.

    WTF?

jason jones - hasnt played in a year, had one good game vs the steelers who have the worst o line and a QB that likes to sit in the pocket for too long
senderrick marks - so far a dud
derrick morgan - a rookie, who knows
tony brown - decent player, but is good for about 15 yards of penalties per game
    javon haye - not good

am i missing something? our d line isnt good.

Let me just say, I wholeheartedly disagree with his OL assessment. But, I don't totally disagree with his DL one. 30 might be harsh, but unless Marks steps up like we expect, Jones stays healthy, and Morgan can make any sort of impact, then I don't see any improvement over last year's line. And, last year's line was horrible.

The Ravens have made the playoffs 3 times in the past 6 seasons. You need more consistency to be in the top 5. Colts and Pats, top 5? No question. I'd replace the Ravens with the Chargers. And, I'd add the Eagles to the list.

If you're talking about today's rankings, I would say:

    1. Saints (They won the big game; gotta respect 'em)
    2. Ravens
    3. Jets
    4. Colts
    5. Vikings

    The rest...

    6. Cowboys
    7. Bengals
    8. Patriots
    9. Chargers
    10. Packers... A few teams could fight for this spot, and I'd throw the Titans into the mix, considering the fact that we have the best runner in the league.
