Titans cap room relative to teams and targets.............

  1. I think you are right about Allen, actually, but as an RFA he's basically locked into the Chiefs just the same.

    Kerney and Grant still have contracts through 2007 according to the NFLPA, as well as The Red Zone. It's possible something in their contracts will force their release, but they aren't FAs.

    I'd still consider Thomas, but the demand for him will be insane.

    Pillar has already been replaced by Bell. Olson could be back, or he could be replaced by Amano, or they could pick up a FA. The money is there for whatever they want to do.

    this is fred taylors first healthy season in how many years, and how long has he been in, I dont want him, its a waste of money

    I expect that just about any stud picked up the next yr or two in FA will be way overpaid for since so many teams have so much money to spend (supply and demand).

    I would rather retain our current good players by locking them up with longer deals and try to draft new talent. Of course, if we can get some more KVB or Kevin Mawae like value pickups, then I am all for it.

    If we are wise with the money in the short term, over the next 3-5 years we will have the cash to pickup the flotsam and jetsam from other salary cap purged organizations.

    I just don't think it is prudent to do anything that would get us back in cap hell anytime soon.

    with 35 -40 mil of space we wont be in cap hell for a long time.
