i made it bold because you apparently didn't read the full reply. if you wan't to be the future act like you will do anything to win. other players are busting their :grrr::grrr::grrr: to win a spot or win the game regardless of injury. if he wants the job outright he should go above and beyond.

Where I saw that it seemed that he could have scored I ask 'at what cost?'. :hmm:I think he could have easily been hurt there. Vince was actually kind of smart not to extend and keep it out. He kind of tucked it back toward himself just before the fumble, didn't he? I didn't roll this back and fourth and watch it fifty million times on my dvr but I'm thinking he could have seriously injured himself selling out for the score there and that he was kinda smart to what amounts to giving up on the td and tucking it. It's just a damn shame he lost the ball doing it.:irked: It ended up making him look real bad. I'm glad he's not hurt though then people would be talking about how stupid he is to get hurt like that in a preseason game. It's a no win for Vince anyways, that is unless he makes the td on the ground. It looks cruddy that he likely could have hit Ringer for the score...

but I guess that's our Vince... narcissistic, prima donna glory grabber. :sarcasm:

I'm not going to say it's going to go one way or the other, but this is quite silly, considering Ramsey is still on the roster.

It's silly to predict the backup yes, but if your gonna say Vince will be losing his position on thursday if ramsey plays well is silly also. And that article clears that prediction right up.

Vince is the #2 which may not mean much to you. In his head he knows that the team is his if Kerry goes down, and he knows better than to try to leap 3 defenders in a preseason game. His job right now is to be the backup, and he apparently takes that seriously and made a good decision not to risk injury. Regular season you better believe he would have stuck his head in there and left the ground.

It really doesn't. I don't think Ramsey has done enough necessarily to take number two away from Young. Early on, he looked like a shoe in, but now, Young probably has it. There's still time though, and if Young were cut or demoted, some article from the Tennessean and a few Fisher quotes wouldn't mean anything. Any even semi-prominent player that has been cut was supposedly high on Fisher's list. Fisher will talk you into an all-pro, and smile gleefully as he cuts your lifeline.
