Our most talented team EVER was 2000's. Too bad Baltimore was our Achellies' heel.

Would be nice to get back there.

    Defense:
    QB VY, Vet, Rusty Smith
    RB CJ + ?
WR Britt, D Williams, Washington, Moss, Hawkins
    TE Cook, Stevens

    Defense:
Dline J Jones, Tony Brown, #1Fairley, Marks
    DE Morgan, Ford, Hayes
LB Tulloch, McGrath, #3draft pick, Witherspoon, Curran, Allred
DB Finny, Verner, Griffin, #2draft pick, McCourty, Fuller

    Returner Mariani

That's what I'd personally like to see. We had the #1 scoring offense halfway through the season. I think our defense is fixable. The big question mark is the coaching. If we have the right personnel in games though and our new staff is halfway decent with scheming I think we've got a shot at the division. All hangs on the QB position.

what color is the sky in your world, and since when do they stop the season at the mid point? If your hero the shirtless dude dancing 'diva' could actually stay on a field instead of doing his normal disappearing act then we would know how your glass half full story would have ended, but we don't cause he did the Houdini thing AGAIN!

Just because I'm too lazy to look it up, we had the #1 scoring offense from when to when?

Ed Podalak was once on pace to have 49000 total yards, but he didn't cause drawing imaginary lines thru stats is akin to lying about being a pilot in a bar near closing time - it means nothing!

    Ok...after the yelling...

I think we have a good offense with Young. If you want to argue his injury history then do that.

While Young was healthy we were putting up a lot of points. He kinda had a freak injury. Fighting for a loose ball after a fumble. It is what it is. As a fan I was disapointed too but what are you gonna do?

Week 9 would be 'halfway' thru the season as there are 17 weeks on the schedule

I think you give VY a little too much credit with waving that stat around all the time. Week 7 was the Philly game where we put up 37 without VY. And the week before, we put up 30 with VY contributing one TD. I'm sure those last 2 weeks bolstered our scoring average.

We put up 38 on oakland, 29 on the Giants, 34 on Dallas, and 25 on San Diego all before VY got hurt. Pretty good imo.
