None of that matters when you give back yards and can't find the endzone.

Hawkins regularly gets 1st down yards, but decides he needs more and goes backwards looking for bigger gains, in turn not converting on downs.

Jake Lockers first career completion went to Lavelle, but he ran the wrong way after catching the ball, and came up 1-yard short of a 1st down.

Don't really remember him not getting the 1st that often. Yea he dances, but he always made up for it and picked up the 1st.

You can't give back yards unless you catch the ball.

Does that constitute him getting the flack and Damian Williams being seen perpetually as something he is not? Ok, maybe Lavelle did too much to try and pick up a first. Some he got and some he didn't. But I like the fact that he catches the ball in the first place, which is job number one for a WR.

Damian Williams plays soft, has at best average speed/route running, thus doesn't create seperation. And on top of all of that, has bricks for hands, which means, he isn't a reliable pass catcher, and at the very moment that is realized, that player should be taken off of the field. Thus, Kendall Wright, the serious attempts at Welker, Amendola, and the soon to be new receiver that we will draft.

Yet Lavelle Hawkins, who has reliable hands, and is at least somewhat of a quick/shifty underneath reciever, is the one who should be cut? Listen, I'm not saying Lavelle is an all pro, or should even be starting, but if given a choice between the two, I'm taking Lavelle Hawkins every time.

Stop smoking before posting, it's clouding your thoughts.

Lavelle Shirley Hawkins is TERRIBLE at moving the chains, just terrible.

Agree with you on this because if we really look at this list outside of Wright every single one of those receivers could be gone at any time.I would not doubt if they bring in another receiver in the draft.Britt is one arrest or injury away from being done here.We don't know if Washington will even be on the roster opening day.As far as Williams goes he doesn't contribute much and will be gone after the season. With Hawkins its the same thing as Williams only he is being overpaid. As old as Walter is i think he will be good for a couple catches a game. And you are definitely right we need some good WR's.Quality not quantity in the WR dept.

you realize the only season he got any real PT he got like 47 catches right?

And did you even watch Damien Williams when he got on the field 2 seasons ago when Britt went down??? Can't believe even my fellow Titans fans think Hawkins and Williams aren't good.

I think we're good at WR even if Washington is traded...

If Britt doesn't come back strong(or gets arrested again), then yes we need to address WR after that happens...Until that happens I say we're good...
