SUMMARY: With a day remaining before the first session of training camp, the Titans have only two draft picks remaining to sign. Yesterday, Terna Nande, a fifth-round pick from Miami (Ohio) signed a three-year deal which includes a base salary of $275,000 this year, $360,000 in 2007 and $445,000 in 2008. His signing bonus is $140,900. Titans GM Floyd Reese continues to work with the agents for both Vince Young and LenDale White and says progress is being made. "The NFL works best when there are deadlines and Friday afternoon — or whenever the first practice is — of course is a giant deadline," Reese said. "We are going to try and make it happen."

It was a short deal. He took less to get a bigger payday sooner.

I like all these 3 year deals. Titans get a couple of years to evaluate and then sign a market based 4-5 year extension if warrented.
