Maybe they leaked it just so the other teams know for sure that Moss will not be going back to the Patriots? For instance, if you are the Dolphins you don't want Moss back in New Endland so you might snatch him just to keep them from getting him back.

Now they won't have to, so we will have a better chance at getting him.

Personaly I hope we don't get him, but I bet that is why Fish made it public.
