FWIW Davis out runs one of the Wisconsin DBs in his bowl game, that guy ran a 4.5 at the combine

Davis is in the 4.4 range IMO

I think Jwill1919, Deuce Wayne and TWW2 are one and the same person.

Yep, supposedly a combine time, but Douglas ran that a while ago. Doubt he could cover 40 yards that fast jumping out a plane.

It has long been my opinion that the assHat @Razorbacks is in fact DW's second or third persona on this site.

.08 can be a huge difference. 4.42 vs a 4.50 guy is significant. But it's not just how much (.08) but where on the scale that difference appears. 4.72 vs 4.80 for a LB isn't that significant. The difference between 4.22 and 4.30 is HUGE! Because how many others on the field can stay with a guy who runs a 4.22? The more people on the field that can catch you, the 'slower' you are. The fewer and the more significant it is.

How did you time this since you are not at a good angle to gauge when he crosses 40 yards. And is he at a standstill when this gif starts? (doesn't look like it)

He looks to be in the 4.45 range give or take a few hundredths is my guess based on who he runs away from and who he doesn't and what coverage of NFL cb's look like on him.

He certainly looks fast and explosive with a nice upfield burst. But what is that gonna look like against starting NFL cb's (and certainly the Texans and Jags have some good ones)?

I don't think we'll find anyone who didn't have Davis in round 1...but is he worth a top 5 pick? That's the chip we want sitting on his shoulder for the next decade!

What the comparison probably is - that is Kevin Byard giving chase and we know what his time is.
