Time to part ways with Griffin

At this point I would rather Babineaux start alongside RoJo. At least then RoJo could continue his development so we can see if he will become a player, and Babs can go back to actually making tackles because he isn't afraid of touching other football players.

Mistakes and intangibles? They kicked our butts! Anytime a team out rushes you by 120 yards in the nfl you flat got beat forget that other stuff.

We were down 28-13 with 9 minutes left and they ran the ball down our throats for 5 1/2 minutes. If you can't run the ball and can't stop the run all the other things don't matter.

Our pathetic running game is why Locker was throwing out of the end zone to begin with when he fumbled.

Why do so many other teams have safeties that play near the line of scrimmage and support the run?

We don't have that.


The Pats don't have the fastest WRs in the league so we didn't need to have deep zones and when they are pounding on you over and over you have to tighten up.

 

I'd rather see him admit it than see him live in a fantasy world like Chris Johnson does, where's the best RB in the NFL and the fastest man on the planet.

 

If McCarthy doesn't get injured, we would have had more success stopping the run. Not complete success, but we would have gotten more stops. He is the heart and soul in the middle of our D.

I just admitted that the entire middle of our defense is bad. After McCarthy went out, it was pretty apparent everything else fell apart. He gets everyone else in position and he shoots the correct gaps. At DT, other than Casey (who disappeared today), we have no run stuffers. McCarthy is our only good run defender in the front seven. And then I don't even need to mention Griffin and the rest of the safeties inability to tackle and stop the run.

After Locker hooked up with Washington for that TD to make it 21-10, the team looked pumped and ready to compete. That's when the Patriots ran it down our throats and took the air out of our sails, making it 28-10. That touchdown drive was what won it for the Patriots. Now, if McCarthy was playing, we might hold them to a FG or even make them punt it again. We had a decent pass rush and the CBs were playing fairly well. It's the middle of the defense that just blows.

 

Well guys, at least we can take comfort in knowing that he's praying for god to make him better.
