Trust me when I say this...at his age there is no such thing as "fresh legs". There is just "worked out hard to try to recapture the youth" legs.

LOL...yeah, Eddie (God love him) had those "fresh legs" working for him real well in 2005. He was able to get to the locker room at halftime really fast (without breaking a sweat), and looked really fit while standing on the sidelines that season.

He was the standard (in my opinion) for preparation, and Father Time took his legs in about 2001. Everything he got after that was based on sheer heart IMO.

Signing old backs that someone else cut is the most pointless move, we'd be better off finding some random fast 21 year old in the street.

    Clinton Portis.

29 years old, still has the speed and power...only knocks are his durability and his asking price.

If we're looking though, we shouldn't look further than him IMO.

Less than 1000 yards in the last two seasons combined? Lost his job to Ryan Torrain? Was only great in Denver? I'll pass.

5580 yards & 36 TDs in 4 years with Washington (his 4 healthy years, out of 7).

That's 1395 yards and 9 TDs a year with Wash when healthy.

I'd say that's pretty darn good.

I think James Davis is available. He's got potential and should be pretty cheap.

Ha ha ha ha. True story. My old boss's name is James Davis and he texted me the other day and said that Mike Munchak had contacted him about playing runningback this year.
