By his own words underall agrees at least in part with what I said.

But still defends the drafting of Mario. Cow fans get so confused at the main point of football, to win games. They seem to have mastered losing games though.

Honestly he can't. When the heat is on he sizzles like a burger on the grill.

Even bluegill start to shy away from nightcrawlers if you fish one spot long enough, but that doesn't seem to apply everywhere.

    Think about it.

Flaming sparrow, just because I said that a side by side stat comparison can give the impresion that they are simular QBs does not mean that I do not think that David Carr can not turn around his career. I realize reality is not something you can readily deal with but we did not need Vince Young or Reggie Bush. With our new system and coaching staff Carr will be just fine. Our O-line is already showing major improvements and we had 2 rookies run the ball just about as good as Reggie, last week. I get tired of your hating threads to bait me out. As far as winning games I feel like the Texans have a better upside than the Titans and feel that this coming season will bear that out

1 thread is a thread not threads. You will notice I start very few threads on any board but this one comparison just seemed obvious. If you do not like the comparison or think it is flawed state a reason do not whine because you think every post about the cows is dirrected at you. Honestly you are not that important to me.

Yes Carr does have a chance to turn things around but Couch did not. His fans turned on him much quicker. I guess I can hand it to the Cow fans that still trust in Carr for sticking with there guy but if this season is yet another sub par performance will you still? What is the magic number before the epiphany?

Reality is something I deal with on a daily basic. Actually as an Financial Analyst it is my job to be objective and not be a homer for my company. I look at football the same way. I call them as I see them. I am sure if you sniff around here you could find my predictions for this season. You will see my Hope :brow: is there but I accept we will probably not make the playoffs. Others disagree with me and I Hope they are correct.

I would think you could do the same thing with your team. At 2-14 has there ever been such a dramatic turn around in the NFL to even produce a winning season? Not that I can remember. Statistically it would be an anomaly. Especially since the Cows have not pick up a proven All Pro player this season. Improved yes, but to totally discount the 4 FA the Titans picked up plus the draft picks shows that you are grasping at best to prove your team is better then the Titans with no proof.

    Givens = Moulds

Mawea = Flannigan (that is a stretch)

Hope > A cow Secondary who picked up a Chief's DB

    Thornton > Weaver

Young < Mario (I would imagine the first season of QB's career vs the 1st season of a DE this would hold true)

White > Davis with knee surgery

New coaches tend to struggle there first season with new players, new coaches to deal with and all the subtle things that happen when introduced to a new system.

It would seem we win out in those equations and since we had a better season last year it would reason to assume that we will this season.

As I have pointed out many times before I do not consider all Titans fans TENNheads. The vast majority of Titans fans do not come off as tiny brained folk. Since this is the board of a division rival I come here to find out how that team is doing and will defend my own team.

There are many teams in NFL history that have made a 6 or 7 win turn-around in one season. There are too many for me to take the time to list. Go to this site and find them for yourself.

    http://www.databasefootball.com/teams/teamlist.htm

I don't discount your FA pickups I just think that your team is so bad that unless all four of them play at an All Pro level it won't make much difference in conjuncture with who the Titans also lost. The Titans made solid pick ups, but not enough. They lost their starting center. So Mawae even if a slight up grade is just a replacement. Givens is not a #1 WR, Moulds has been so now he is paired with a Pro Bowler in Johnson. They also lost Hopkins from the O-line. Who atleast will be missed as a quality veteren back. You want to compair Hope to a new hire from the Chiefs

I'm sorry there sparrow but I don't see you logic in picking on our back up CB and saying Hope is so much better.

Once again I don't see how you can say that Thortons 3 sack 3 ints and 4 forced fumbles is so much greater than Weavers 14.5 sacks 1 int and 5 forced fumbles.

Putting White over Davis doesn't even make sense. Your third string RB, with issues isn't even close to Davis. Davis has done it on the NFL level.

Not to mention DeMeco Ryans and our 2 O-lineman are looking good in camp. We brought in a number of FAs to compete for a job. We realize that we are bad and aren't counting on a handful of players to make a difference. We are making a total team up grade while y'all are just switching a few parts.

He is the Kournikova of the NFL.:biglaugh:

Overalls... You at one point or still do have a tatoo of an oil derrick don't you? That would explain alot. Maybe I'm just skimming the posts but I don't know that you are really showing anything with those stats dude. Also, what are you so upset about? You seemed pretty angry yesterday there buddy, like something really got under your skin... does it irritate you that I have gone to Texans Talk and befriended a few of your posters over there? Did my little from the heart post about growing up without a team I really loved... did it stir something up? Was refering to LP Feild as the Church of Bud Adams just more than you can handle?

Or was it the roman candle I broke off in your woman FILO? That one lit her up. She threatened murder! Bloody murder!

What is this with TENNheads anyways? I'm obviously not "tiny brained" yet you spit that at me all the time. Hell, it doesn't bother me. At that Jacksonville board I have refered to myself as such... just for jokes and all. I call myself tack there, because that is what they say. What is so personal with you this week? You call me and Arrow "low rent trailer trash", say we hide behind our keyboard when we are very open about where we hail from and I'm always posting my picture because I'm so vain ;) and wife is so hot. Hey, you are only young once, right?:ha: ... What kind of trailer trash works as a CPA? I'm a craftsman myself but I don't know too many trailor trash types that bought psl's in my section.

You have a fundamental problem with respect Overalls. I think it bothers you that I'm chummy with Il Bruno and now the infamous Texas Tailgator. You just wait until I see some Texans tape, scores, stats, whatever... It doesn't look good for your team this year... but whatever is up your crawl... vent it already.

btw- That's a decent post you have left there. I'm sure Arrow will shread it. All he does is crunch numbers. Let's have a good smack season... Don't ruin yourself before opening day. I've been so bloody nice to you all summer... I've been diplomatic on your board and my behavior at Coltfreaks is nothing less than stellar. I like that Jags board. If they ran vbulliten software I'd be there more. J's&D's, Bone, and Gator are allright by me.

If I spent more time there I'd be chummier with them than I am already. I just don't like that software. Bottom line... if you want to enjoy being here Overalls and not see stuff like a naked fat dude sitting in front of a computer, either disable images or stop running all over f2fa like Paul Revere posting "The smack pretenders are coming! The smack pretenders are coming!" You and the Saints are the only teams we can legitmately smack on. All else is reaching unless we want to put on our history major caps and you and I both know that gets gay really quick... 19-10, 2004, etc..

We had a beef with the Ravens... that's settled, for now...

ps- what the hell is MEKOOH? hook em? Vince will take care of that.
