Thornton's back: will it help?

no but Troy Polamalu would help.

 

I'd like to see Thornton on the field personally. We've been getting eaten up by short passes and apparently he's pretty good at defending those so it couldn't hurt.

Whether it helps or it helps enough to make a difference, I have no clue.

 

Defense has been playing losing football the last month or so.

Opponent TEs have killed us. Screens have killed us. 3rd downs have killed us. Penalties have killed us.

Seems like the Titans are good for 3+ encroachment pentalities a game. The defensive line has been figured out after a great start.

Don't know if Thornton will help, but the LB play has been mostly anonymous the whole year.

It probably can't hurt. This team needs an OLB who can cover as bad as it needs anything else. I expect a top pick to be used on that need in the upcoming draft.

Yep we definitely shoulda took a LB earlier in the 09 draft because they knew they weren't gonna re-sign Bulluck and they underestimated how big of a loss that would be.
