This team is not well coached

Agreed...even 3 games in it is looking like interior OL will need to be a focal point in the draft next year. We have CJ for 5 years now, and we will likely waste this one for a couple of reasons.

 

Why are there always idiots who complain even when we are winning?

 

Because we're not playing that good & need to be much better to actually do anything this year besides 8-8?

 

Minus the first two quarters of the season..and the two drives today that we gave the Broncos points with penalties...our Defense has looked stellar...

 

Are you f*cking joking? There were quite a few posters who were talking about us drafting Luck with the first pick in the next draft. That's how bad some were predicting we would be.

Everything has gone our way. Manning being out and the 2 wins. Hell we should be 3-0! Who cares how? Who cares if we are not as good as the 3-4 best teams in the league?

 

Maybe but many others including myself predicted we could win somewhere around 8 or 9 games this year and we are much better than everyone has been saying. Sounds like you're happy with mediocrity. Too many years of Fisher caused this? Every year that isn't a rebuilding year we should try to compete for a playoff spot because you never know what happens if you get into a playoff game..

 

You have to give the opposition some credit. Orton was outstanding today. What do people expect the 85 bears?

We had no running game at all. We had dumb penalties and bad officials calls. Dropped passes and other assorted stupidity. One of our best players came out with an injury. Despite all that we won the game. Yippee!

 

That reminds me...whatever happened to the poster (forgot his name) that was very loudly predicting a 2-14 season for us after we dumped VY???? Have not seen him (or OmahaColt, for that matter) around here too much so far this year LOL...

 

Some of you guys have to relax a bit. You have to remember how this year unfolded, we had the lockout, we had a completely new coaching staff, new systems, etc. Then our "best" player decides to holdout because he thinks he's too good to come to practice while negotiating a new contract. We get new QB with very little time to learn a whole new system and get chemistry with the receivers and now today we lose the player that has been our most productive play maker on offense and yet we are still finding a way to win.

As far as bad coaching, this is the same team and staff that played a near perfect game against one of the top teams in the NFL in only their 2nd game. I agree there were too many penalties and the coaching staff needs to work on those things but we also need to realize Rome wasn't built overnight and neither is a championship caliber football team. So far we're clearly better than we have been over the past two years, we finally have a QB that isn't a headcase quitter and the defense has went from virtually last place to playing very respectable football thus far. As things gel I think some of those little things will clean up and this team could end up being the sleeper team in the NFL this year.
