I think mccourty is getting a pass from way to many fans here, becausehe was banged up kast year. He has played like crap for 3 or 4 seassons now. He is a #2 at best and highly overpaid. Cox is a serviceable vet, but also a #2 at best. We have one safety thats a starter. How can tge secondary not be a huge need? We need a starting safety, a #1cb and imo a #2 cb (we should try and trade mcc).

McCourty might be a FS now, his bother went from average CB to stud FS, why cant JMac...? Id rather not trade him if he can be that guy for us. But we do need a real CB1 cause like you said; Cox is a CB2

He kinda plays like a s, so maybe he can move over and be successful. I'd much rather that than, having to fill more holes. I've just lost all my hope for him as a cb, gives up way to many plays. Your top cb should not be the opposing qbs choice to "pick" on.

So, we are too much of a tight wad to spend say $12-13mil/year for Okung or Glenn, but you think we would trade a player to Buffalo to pay Mario Williams (who loafed a quarter of the season) SIXTEEN MILLION A YEAR?!?!?!?

And the pass rush alone did not win them the game. The Panthers made a ton of mistakes. Cam missed a lot of receivers early, penalties in all 3 phases, Cotchery dropped two of the biggest plays of the game, special teams mistakes were quite impactful, poor clock management and slow playcalling, injuries, etc. They really ran the gamut of poor play. Yes Ware and Von Miller are great, but Panthers should have still won....even without great OT's!

Have you noticed the team with the top rated defense has been in the last 3 SB's and won 2 out of 3 (and should have been 3 for 3). Did you notice that Denver won with D, not much on offense?

Does that tell you we need to draft a LT when we already have one, or a great CB or trade down and get a different impact player....perhaps Noah Spence and picks - depending on how far we drop?

I'll pass on Hall and Amukamara (who's not as good as you think and constantly banged up). Sean Smith might be the 3rd best possible free agent out there (behind Norman and Jenkins). Doesn't Barron play more like a LB now...and they run a 4-3 D.

So, you think Bosa, a 6-5 275lbs guy with 51 tackles, 5 sacks, 16 TFL, 4 pd's, 1 INT, 1 FF, and 14 QB hurries is better than...

Watt...who coming out of college is 6'5, 290lbs with 34" arms (extremely long), gigantic hands at over 11", we'll compare their athleticism and size and stuff after the combine (like ran a 4.87 40, vertical jumped 37", etc), so Bosa has a LOT to live up to!!! But let's get back to comparing stats of Bosa above and a much bigger player in Watt. Watt had 62 tackles, 7 sacks, 21 TFL, 9 pd's, 1 INT, 3 FF, and led his team in QB hurries and blocked kicks.

How and why do you think Bosa is better?

What position do you think Bosa can play in a 3-4 D? most of us don't think he has the athleticism to play 3-4 OLB and probably not better than Morgan...so where does he factor in? As a DE in a 3-4 D he IS undersized as those guys should be in the 290-300 range. So how does he fit in our starting lineup?

The problem is, he doesn't look athletic enough to be worth the #1 overall pick as a 3-4 OLB and he's too small to play 3-4 DE. So how does he fit this D and is he gonna be worth the #1 pick at either of those positions? I don't see it. The combine will reveal a lot!

RT is not a critical area of need. If the whole OL doesn't get coached up, adding tunsil won't matter if everyone else keeps playing like last year. If they do get coached up and Lewan and Warmack start playing like first rounders, we can simply add a RT and a swing guy in free agency and feel pretty good about the OL.

We have no depth at pass rush and need improvement at CB and a new S. So why wouldn't we consider Ramsey? The best edge rusher in this draft is Noah Spence...not Bosa.

Ramsey is a faster Richard Sherman type with currently not as good ball skills as a CB or a Sean Taylor type FS....rangey, big fast, good hard tackler. Polamalu is only a good comparison in that you can move Ramsey all over the field if you want to feature him and let him cover, blitz, play slot, outside, take away a TE or roam the short - deep middle. Polamalu was a prototypical great box S. Ramsey really isn't.

Why do you think Ramsey is not worthy of a higher pick than 5, but Bosa is worth the #1 overall? What makes Bosa the #1 overall pick in your mind?

That's why we should have taken one in the 3rd!!! Could have had our RT and then taken a DE in THIS draft which is LOADED at DL!!!

Poutasi was the mistake...not because he's a bad player, but because we had and still have bigger needs. Could have also used Blackson and a later pick to move into 3rd to get another OL. Could have gotten our LG and RT.

Plenty of OT's and some OG's we could have taken in round 3!!!
