Knew they had a reason to keep him around. He served no other purpose on the show other than being the guy who dropped the key to Merle's handcuffs.

Yeah.. it makes too much sense though for Merle to be the guy who does it. I also have a feeling that Daryl will end up killing Merle.

It's amazing to me that half of the posts about this continue to be complaints..
There are a number of "zombie kill" highlight compilations on YouTube for those who just want gore and action and nothing else.
God forbid they should even make an attempt to tell a story..

About time Rick grew a pair.

TDog is around for one reason only. And now that Michone is here, he becomes expendable.
Just an observation.

I'm not complaining about lack of action. I'm complaining about this epi's lack of doing anything for the story. We know the Governor, etc is where the story is heading, and this episode looked like an attempt to stall. I don't mind story-heavy episodes, as long as that story has an outcome which matters to the series. Maybe I wouldn't have been so worked up about it if they hadn't teased this episode as getting into that part of the storyline.
Throwing in worthless "meat" characters just to be killed off is textbook filler material.

So that big Green Mile looking mfer.. the zombie slashed him with a bloody nub right? So did they HAVE to kill him? Is the disease transmitted from blood as well as saliva AND natural death?
