Just finished S04 last night. I'm now caught up on all my shows...might actually pay for current season episodes.

Reading the last cew pages of this thread I see complaints about the show getting boring and lack of character development. Well, the 'boring' parts?...that's character development. S04 has so many new characters that they needed fleshing out. Carl is coming of age and Rick needs to regain control of himself. Carol isn't in any way who she was in past seasons.

As for the writing as-they-go complaint, that's somewhat true. This was originally a miniseries of 6 episodes in which everyone died in the CDC explosion. They had no idea what a hit it would be. The character of Darryl was invented and tacked on because Norman Reedus didnt get the part of Merle but the producers loved working with Reedus. Good call. On the go or not they've kept a compelling story going with a great cast of characters.

 

Gay ass episode. We don't need a episode w different group every freaking week

 

I thought it was a good episode.

The one with Beth I pretty much hated though. I hate when she gets a lot of airtime. She's just awful. Worst character the show has had in any season. I wouldn't have cared one bit if she was taken in that car and they never revisited it.

I think that episode was more about Darryl than Beth; she just provided a foil to expose more of his motivation. I dont know that anyone else in the camp could do that (other than Carol, who has her own storyline).

 

Team Beth! I hope she stabs a bunch of people with that tiny needle next episode!
