Some douche who has had an incredibly upside down year..
Hopes to be back in full swing by 2017.
Same here. My thoughts exactly.
This has been the best and worst year of my life in a variety of ways.
What happens when you go on a random anti me binge
It'll get better pal
2017 will be a delta year for me ... I fully anticipate a forced retirement
Wow.. ditto here.
I go thru gnarly divorce and all the absurd fallout that goes with it. End up in CBT therapy for unmanageable depressive anxiety then somehow end up dating the slam dunk sexiest young lass I have ever met in my entire life.
Life is just freakin weird.
Yeah, for me.. New house, new baby, Dad lost his job of 30+ years (they Closed down his workplace), mom about to sell the business, the part that I was supposed to take over (after her sell-off) just got pulled from us, because they were essentially paying us too much money, instead they are going to open up their own corporate office in town and cut us out entirely. 150-200k per year contract with basically zero overhead. All went down yesterday via email.
So I went from picking what I want my salary to be, to "I wonder if the pizza place is hiring." Sucks. Luckily I still play out and DJ, or else I'd be in some serious crap.
Hang in there....I was once in Ad sales....well over 6 figures annually....long story after a merger I went into a sales meeting with 70 to 80 accounts....when I left the meeting I had zero accounts and only the word of the new management that if I trained my replacements I would be allowed to grow my business again.....Needless to say I took the severance package instead.
to quote the first black President 'I feel your pain'
Jeez that's horrible..
Damn...sorry to hear y'all are going through some trials. Really surprised at yours, Cruds; I had no idea (though it seems like you're recovering okay). Me?..I have no money any more, work my ass off and everything hurts really bad but I'm the happiest I've ever been. I'm not sure if I miss being a curmudgeonly smartass or not; seems like my material was better when everything sucked. I also have trouble writing funk while living in a cowboy town on the side of a volcano while being surrounded by vegan hippies and ginger kids with dreads. Is that tragic?...I dunno....but I play 'Stir It Up' differently every single time I play it.
