Ya'll really need to quit hatin' on Lamont Thompson. He's a solid safety. He can't help if he was saddled with an inadequate pair of corners.

You just can't help but say nutty things, can you?
This is the second nutty post I've run into
by you inside the last 20 minutes.
You know that's heresy. Isn't it Gunny?:))

Hill and PM Jones are a lot better than you give them credit for. Jones showed improvement during the year and Hill did as well.
Most would agree that our Corners outplayed our safetys this year

Just wanted to add my personal experience to backup Gunny's argument (no, not about the Nintendo). While I've personally only ever experienced a partial MCL tear, a few of my teammates have sufferede complete ACL tears and there is definetly more to coming back than just the physical rehab.

However, you do have to wonder if Calico has the mental strength to do so, because in this league you can't really wait forever hoping he will eventually turn the corner.

I have knee problems myself and it has caused my to play at a lower level because I am dont want to worsen the extent of the knew problems. So times when I could have jumped and made the miraclous catch (at least a miracolous catch for a white boy), I dont because of my knew. It takes time before you completely rid yourself of the secondguessing on "should I make the jump, should I make the cut" before you return to normal level of play

I had a partial tear of my ACL playing ball (freakish injury actually) and missed half the season, was due to play a state game but was tentative running on it to begin with at training, but once you get going on it and do something that you think may cause it to happen again but it doesn't you feel alot better.
Ended up running for 150 yards on 17 carries.

I say we forget Bush with our #3 and draft Gunny. Gunny will not be as big of a hit on our CAP.
