Well...

We have a starting CB in Harper and a Nickel in Fuller so we're not looking to bring in a Bly for 6mil to sit him on the bench. We were looking for Cb depth and special teams play. Bush does that. He's an EXCELLENT special teams player and when he played nickel in '07 (I think) he did very well. He has the tools to be a starter but we won't know if he CAN develop into Harper's replacement....yet.

At worst, we have depth and a great special teamer. At best, we have that AND a future replacement. Sounds like a good signing....though I haven't seen contract #'s.

Fisher or MR alluded to this...not Carr by name, but in talking about signing people. If you're a #4 CB and you think you're a #3 or want a guarantee to start or have more of a role...it's not gonna happen. It's obvious he was talking about Carr though...

Carr even said he'd take less money (than his last contract) to stay if he got a chance at more of a CB role. The Titans obviously don't see him as developing into a good #3 so they were gonna wait for him to get that demand out of a contract or see if anyone else was gonna give him a chance. Good for the Ravens to get his return skills, but I'm dubious he'll be a solid link in their D if he's their nickel. We may very well have a chance to prove he's not as good as he thinks he is and he'll have a chance to prove us wrong!

Not if we're top 5 as well. I think our ST blocking is pretty good. Look at how pacman did in Dallas. Maybe we believe we can plug just about any solid returner back there and have positive results?

I'd like to see Hawkins back there, or...*gulp* even Chris Davis IF he holds on to the ball.
