Coordinators shouldn't "crumble and be useless" in the face of criticism. I don't think HC's should deflect undeserved (<--key word) blame off onto the coordinators but if they are obviously a big part of the problem then they should be held accountable. This is the problem with Fish. He refuses to admit who/what the real problems are. Excuses, excuses, and more excuses is all we get. If HC's aren't ever supposed to blame coordinators how do you explain all the coordinators who have been fired mid-season over the years? If your coordinator totally sucks, you dump him. If he can't get the job done then what's the point in keeping him around?

It also makes him look like he doesn't know anything about leadership.

"You can delegate authority, but not responsibility."

This whole team is suckin at the moment and Fisher has yet to accept responsibility for it.
Instead he is wrongfully delegating the responsibility on whatever unit or player has made some mistakes.

Exactly. Each week a different player/unit plays poorly so it provides him with an easy cop out. Rather than saying he got outcoached and didn't have his guys ready to play he says "We had some dropped balls"... "We had some turnovers"... "We (lame excuse here)"
Can an individual player lose a game for you? Of course. But after several losses in a row the coach needs to start taking responsibility. You might can get away with that "the breaks just didn't fall our way" crap in weeks 1 and 2 but it's now apparent that our record isn't simply a result of bad luck.

Another no-no concerning leadership, you don't throw your subordinates under the bus.
You also 'praise in public, punish in private'. Calling your players out for mistakes that they made during the game is not punishing in private.
It's funny how after all those years of working with Mac9, who incessantly took the blame when a play got busted (whether it was his fault or not), OR he praised the player or players that made a great play (even if he was a huge contributor to it or not). You would think that some of that would have rubbed off on Fisher. But it seems that too much of Kerry is rubbing off on him at the moment (or rubbing up next to him rather :ha: )

Ok, Ok, Ok..... Now I've listened to all the 'strategic' reason why we are not performing and we're stinking up LP Field.

I believe that it's more basic than complicated.

You all have been talking about it, but you're 'talking around' it. You can see the problem, but you can't articulate it. You can sense it, but you don't want to believe it. Truth. In effect, almost everything posted here is true. That truth is what is wrong!

Fisher has been alluding to 'his' talks with the team being between him and the team. He shuts off discussion and is 'hiding' something. He and the other 'coaches' have made statements that provide them cover, but are symptomatic of the 'problem'.

The PLAYER's have HAD IT with the Coaches and maybe the management. Even the rookies can see and sense it. It is stupid, just stupid, to think that any professional football player cannot evaulate the TALENT of their own team. They KNOW when the QB, TE, Center or Secondary are playing bad.... BAD!!!! The Coaches and Management don't get it. The PLAYERS are the only ones that can execute playcalls. So, when they don't understand the playcalls, the stratagy and the phobic drive to play to NOT LOSE, they give up.

Let us not be fooled by the pap put out for public consumption to the press. That's all it is Pablum for the dumb.

The real problem is in the locker room between Coach Fisher and Dinger. As far as Cecil is concerned.....no one really respects or trusts him. All of these Coaches have trashed their team to the fans and the NFL and thrown individual players under the bus.

In manufacturing....we would see a 'slowdown' if management did this to the workers. Others may call it 'working to the clock'. (If they are told to play zone, they do it; if they are told to play man, they do it; even if they know it's wrong.) Until Bud stands up and make his decisions, OR....until Fisher does a 'mea culpa' and take the team in another direction, or until dinger puts VY (yes VY) in to settle once and for alll his talents......and until the 'cecil problem' is settled......NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

I've loved my Titans since the first game we went to in the Liberty Bowl. We've lived and died with every game for all these years. We bought PSL's and have had Season Tickets ever since the Liberty Bowl. But for heavens sake....someone has got to address the '800 lb gorilla in the room'. We paid for our PSL's, we buy our season tickets, we buy the jerseys, and other things Titan, we go to every game, we freeze our tails off, we cheer, we make excuses, we rally. All for the TEAM and the PLAYERS/Coaches. Every one want's to play nice! NICE does not win games!

Bud should give the ultimatum that this season will be turned around...NOW! or there will be no NEXT SEASON for Many of the Coaches and Management STAFF!!!!!!!

    Got Titans

    why would 1-5 change anyone's attitude ?
    5-5 maybe
    9-7 ideally
8-8 imo has to be the magic number that saves his job

and in order to do that, the coaches attitude and perception needs to change

I rather go 0-6 and keep the heat on Fisher than to beat the Pats and give him some breathing room going into the bye week. 0-6 sucks...1-5 sucks... but 1-5 gives Fishy some brownie points.

Lets pour the heat on him and hope for some kind of change. Sorry guys but winning this one is just stalling. We need to lose big...hard love.
