Reinfeldt says he won't talk contract with CJ until he's in camp.

Frankly, I think the Titans have all of the leverage here. $30,000 fines per day missed in camp. CJ can't gain an accrued year towards free agency unless he reports by sometime in mid-August(August 8th, I think), instead of the 10th game of the season like the previous CBA.

If that retard of a Head Coach, Jeff Fisher would have kept Legarrette Blount, this would be a non issue.

    THAT argument doesn't hold up.
Last I checked, the players aren't sharing their giant signing bonuses with owners or GMs.
That's the trade off: guaranteed money/bonuses for the option of "we can cut you layer".
Players have no problem with this arrangement so fans shouldn't either.

I wouldn't go that far, but it would be a lot less of an issue.

Yup the times have changed with this new CBA. Holding out might get him a deal but it's got potential to really give him problems. Better to get into camp and try to work it out.

    Sounds great.

Then he should be here honoring the contract while his agent hammers out the deal with the FO

It's obvious that the Titans don't want to pay Chris Johnson, and for the second year in a row they are playing games with him.

If they don't want to pay him then they should just trade him and get it over with.

If anyone feels optimistic about being a titan fan after this, they need to get their head examined.

We are bottom feeders and we definitely don't do what it takes to win a championship. Management sounds like that girl or guy you obsess about but who couldn't give a rat's about you so when you call their bluff they go back to an analytical semantic laden interpretation of what exactly they said and didn't say.

Chris Johnson won't play one down for the titans this year. Bank on that.
