The Merril Hodge thread

Did anyone notice the Tennessean misspelling Merril Hodge's name. They spelled it Hoge. Post your favorite Merril Hodge stuff here.

shoot I feel stupid now, everywhere I had seen had it spelled Hodge, I went to wikipedia(reliable, I know) and it is spelled Hodge

There is no such word as "spelt"...it's "spelled". While Hoge took a beating over what he said, he really isn't far from the truth. The Titans did hide Vince to an extent, and kept things very simple for him. He was only found out when he was contained in the pocket, and had to pass. He's a rookie, and you can't expect much better. Most OC's know a rookie is going to make mistakes, so they try to limit what they ask of them. Vince just had that intangible to be able to win games with his legs. I will give Hoge a pass this year, but when Vince can stand and deliver, I will be calling for a retraction.
