Just read this, I mean even the opening sentence is full of humor. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d828c29ee/article/jaguars-gm-thinks-team-will-be-a-playoff-contender?module=HP11_content_stream
Hate to say this, but give them a QB and they'd be pretty good. They were a top 5 defense for half the season until all their CBs got hurt. They'd be better with Hasselbeck than we are with him. Their receivers are no joke anymore either. Justin Blackmon, Laurent Robinson, Lee Evans.
As much as I hate to say it, they could easily sneak up on the NFL. Defiantly a sleeper team, I am not going to say anything bad about Gabbert either. With my luck he would become the next Brady.
Their defense is a pass rusher away from being dominant. I don't know if Andre Branch can be that guy, but at least they did something to try to improve it. Their offense though, man, it's bad. I'm not a believe in Robinson at all. He's been hurt constantly throughout his career. Lee Evans is nothing special at this point. I'm on record saying I thought Blackmon was pretty overrated. Don't get me wrong, he's better than everyone else they have at the position, but that's not saying much. You have to think MJD will wear down eventually with the way Del Rio ran him in to the ground.
You guys are killing me. Theyre still the damn Jaguars. They were born for us to take advantage of. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
Gabbert the next Brady?. ..... not even close... every time i saw him play i thought "man... this guy sucks.. how did he shoot so high on those draft boards" if he gets good next year, it's only because of the WRs that are coming in.. it has nothing to do with him
Before it even gets started, that is not what I said. I said, if I say something bad about Gabbert, with my luck he turns out to be the next Brady. All I am saying are the Jags are not a team to be slept on.
I wish they kept Del Rio, he was so easy to beat. All you had to do was tackle the RB and the rest took care of itself.
Same team that drafted a punter in 3rd round and whose owner tries to hook up with the players' wives before he signs them. I'm not too worried about them.
