Yeah, this has probably been coming for a while. I thought it would have been sooner and with Hines Ward.

If Finnegan could cover as good as he instigates, then that whole scene would've been a bit more entertaining to me. Unfortunately, Finnegan had been burned repeatedly by Johnson throughout the game. Mouth of a viper, skills of a jackass rarely mix well together. Cortland needs to shut his mouth and let his coverage frustrate people.

 

This is Roger GODell we are talking about. He can do whatever he wants to do. He can justify anything he wants to do. And he will be applauded by the national media as being tough on bad behavior. He has no plan of action and no consistency. It's as if he is throwing darts to determine the fines and suspensions.

 

He gave up 9 catches for 56 yards and one TD on a play where Johnson lined up next to the O-Line and used a bunch of blockers to screen off Finnegan. I think the Titans would take that stat line every day against a receiver as dangerous as Johnson.

 

Doesn't AJ have a history of torching the Titans/Finnegan? Part of the reason they didn't throw to Johnson more was because they were having enough success running the ball, hence the just shy of 200 rushing yards.

During the TD play, it didn't look like anyone got CF off of AJ.... looked to me like AJ burned CF. Not sure why anyone would be surprised by that though, isn't the first time, surely won't be the last time.
