The ONLY thing that can be judged by the box office is money. That's it.

It is a movie about comic book superheros fighting space aliens. Why would you ever take it seriously?

You wouldn't see that scene in one of the Nolan films.. Fight scenes that are choreographed to the point of being dance just look silly.

A scientist turned into a giant green monster.

A man was frozen in arctic for 70 years and was thawed out to fight aliens.

A mythological Norse god was fighting aliens in NYC.

An aircraft carrier flew through the sky and turned invisible.

Another mythological Norse god tore a portal open that allowed giant armored space worms to attack earth.


and it was the chair fighting scene that was just too much?

LOL, Did I say that? My view of this movie is well documented elsewhere here. No point in re-hashing all that in a thread that is pro-SH movie.

Suspension of belief is an element required of 99.9% of all movies. That doesn't mean one can't have a preference in how the element is presented.
