Um, then the kid would knowingly be taking a benefit to attend the school. Ineligible.

And if a guy takes money from a school/booster that he will then use to bribe a kid to come then the guy is considered a booster. Illegal. See SMU.

We are going in circles here...

If a player is shopped by someone with a legitimate power in the recruitment, then yes the kid is & should be ineligible. I've said it 10 times in this thread already...Joe Blow 3rd cousin twice removed isn't going to be able to "shop" the kid because anyone buying would know that he/she has no power over the kid.

There is a gray area in the sense that anyone can call up a coach and shop the kid. But unless said person has any power over the kid's recruitment whatsoever then it won't be taken seriously by the school, the coaches, the boosters or the NCAA.

Legitimate influence in the decision is key. The NCAA is not going to rule a kid ineligible because someone the kid barely knew was trying to get money, they won't even waste their time with an investigation. It absolutely positively does not work like that.

Honestly, they knew if they suspended pryor... No one would show up to the Sugar Bowl. The NCAA loves sucking the money out of buckeye pockets. That's one of their main cashcows.

So what...he stashed all those $20 bills (that they obviously paid him in to make it less suspicious) in his mattress? Bank records are the easiest thing to investigate and a sudden surge in monies would not be hard to find.

While I think his father was an idiot...I have yet to see any proof monies changed hands.

So you can keep waiting for Assange to release the documents...but not likely.
