It was a fourth down play. The Titans get the ball whether he picks it off or not. 15 yards of field position was the only difference and the Jags scored a handful of plays later.

Hasselbeck did alright.....the 40 yarder bomb to d will was right on the money asnd the first long ball that was accurate and not underthrown from Hasselbeck in several , several weeks.

However, Cook made Hasselbeck look a whole lot better. When your tightend with a massive wingspan has to reach all the way back to snag the ball, you are terribly inaccurate.

well they wont all be perfect. Hasselbeck had a very good day. Actually converted a number of third downs. What was the 3D rate for the Titans anyways?

It has been terrible this season, and last season, and basically since McMVP went all ratbird crazy

How could anyone not be satisfied with the game Hasselbeck played?

He hit Williams in the numbers for a would-be touchdown and Washington was stopped inside the one on another bomb.

He threw one bad pick on the short pass to Washington. The first one when Mincey dropped into coverage, you know, the defense wins sometimes too. Mel Tucker made a great call. Hasselbeck was killing them with that comeback route on the left side and he called the right defense... it happens.

He played well and the team won, what more could you ask for?

He also just chucked up a bunch of balls to no one.

Don't forget the wonderful flips into two defenders........

    It was a depleted secondary....

    Rather have Locker in there

that is an excellent point, but give Palmer and MM some credit for NOT being stubborn as a fishface. They got stonewalled by the tarpkitties too start the season and just last week the freakin' ponies shut down the run game. Palmer / MM choose to attack by air instead of having a repeat of the ponie fiasco.

Hasselbeck played well and the game was not really as close as the 6 point final difference indicates right Harper?

Hass at the Beginning of the game was inaccurate. First few throws had either jitters or just dusted because we forced hass (I believe, coaches did) to start throwing to someone besides the check down. For once, it didn't seem like every other throw was a check down. For at least the last month, Matt has been really a check down king.

This also could have been because the defense sucked just that much to let the TE and wrs open so hass had some comfort. But he did start shaky, and he also threw some ugly deep balls. That is not even debatable, his deep ball is such a loft, floater... It's amazing those even get there.

But we won. And hass shaped up, cook killed it. Keep it up big boy and no more awkward flops please.

Just give the guy a little credit for playing well and being the focus of an offense that won the game.

He got three free first downs because he worked the hard count. He averaged almost 9 yards per attempt. He played a solid game, he wasn't great.
