The "bongo" loves him some CJ

the trade youre panning me for did occur..........it involved Den GB and the Jets...........ultimately it went to GB and Den............JWalker went to GB. But that trade started in St Elmo's steak house in Indy during the combine.................the end result was different but what i was hearing was very accurate.............things evolve in trades.

The JetsInsider thread was great. Always like when Bongo59 drops in. I was thinking about sharing that TC post on the CJ insight, in case you guys hadn't seen it. I enjoy the posts. People want to flame him for being wrong, or allegedly pretending to have insight (mostly, I presume, out of jealousy and probably deeply hurt feelings when things don't pan out our way).

Really the advice for the bongo-post newb is to neither love, nor hate, but listen (with your eyes, also called "reading"), and enjoy, if it's nugget-dropping. Me, I appreciate having someone around to share what insight they have. That's the way it's intended, IMO, that's the way it should be taken.

It's this kind of hype that indicates to me bongo doesn't know shinola. You see in the entire history of the national football league 100 pass receptions and 1000 yards rushing has occured just once. Tomlinson in 2003. And even tomlinson could only do it one time.

Faulk, edgerrin james, westbrook, dunn, dorsett, barber have NEVER done that. So bongo is claiming that CJ will even be better than them.

I also keep reading about this incredible intelligence CJ has. Certainly smart enough to be an nfl RB but his 10 wonderlic score says he is not a genius.

The fact that he has digested the playbook quickly has been publicly stated by Fisher, which means he will be fine from an intelligence standpoint.

Yep he said that bush is better than LT on a texans board before reggie was even drafted.

He was in love with tyrone calico.

He was in love with that francis kid the DE from hawaii who was drafted by the lions last year and sat the bench all season.

Problem with bongo59 is that he posts all over the place on what seems like 10 different team forums so all his boner picks are there for everyone to know about. We all make mistakes so i'm not knocking him for that but he was at least as high on bush as he is on CJ and apparently was wrong!

Bongo jynxed us.

Before the 2006 draft bongo was all over the jets board saying that there would be numerous trades among the first 7 picks. He was wrong!

He was certain that houston was taking reggie bush with the first pick. He was wrong!

He said that the raiders were absolutely in love with lienart and willing to trade up to get him. The raiders did not trade up and took a safety instead when lienart was still on the board with the 6th pick.


There is nothing wrong with touting a player and being wrong it happens to everybody. What i disprove of is this bullcrap about him having secret inside info not just about the titans a team he supposedly works for but even other teams.

One guy on the jets board called him a fraud.. I can't disagree..
