Texan fans.....

OK.. Ok... I know I am pretty hard on them folks down here in Houston. But this topic is another reason I am. I live in Houston and I hear it day in and day out. When speaking on their nice little team this is the thing I hear the most....

" This team is built to win for many many years "

OK.. 1 division title and 1 playoff win and now this is Texans team is a dynasty?

I would like to know how they are built to win for years to come... How?

cause the colts suck?

While the rest of the division is rebuilding...

Young team with key vets.

Its just too bad those key vets are old and made out of glass.

Every teams fans will think the absolute best. There are posts here that I'm sure are posted on the Texans forum making fun of us.

The Texans could be great for quite a few years. We could be a very good team, if everything clicks, Britt is healthy and ready after the suspension, our young defense plays to its full potential, Locker turns out to be a star, etc. Just fans hoping for the best....

Unless they have some WR who's about to emerge, they're not built to win for years to come. They're built to go 10-6 again... And advance no further than the divisional round.

Im not sure how " young " they are. If like you said you consider their key players.

Bunch of "Bullcrap on Parade."

Let them think they're good, it's been a long long time since people in Houston felt good about their football team.

But I know the feeling, I live in Giants/Jets land, and up here these people and their expectations are crazy.

What are you even talking about? I also live in Houston and I rarely ever hear about "many many" years talk. At the very least two. The only two concerns next offseason are Connor Barwin and Matt Schaub, we can deal with one and slap a tag on Schaub if we have to. After that, this is the NFL... and your guess is good as mine. But as long as Wade Phillips is running the D and Kubiak is running the offense, the system is in place to replace every year and I like our odds at being good. We lost Demeco, Mario, and our right side of the line this year. So what? We replaced these players wtih draft picks and we can now keep our key core in tact for a few years at the least. We have drafted extremely well over the past few years. This organization is in place and has the system currently to lead this division until someone steps up and proves otherwise. And that is NOT going to be this year that much I can assure you.

So tell me? Why do the Texans NOT stay the favorites over the next few years? Your Munchak era could just as easily crash and become a failure prompting you to have to start all over before you even had a chance to prove your the better team moving forward.
