    I think you should have to long snap if you are a Fullback. There's no reason we should have to keep 2 guys to do those things. Another backup DB/LB can fill the role as personal protector.

    I just find it amazing that nobody on the current roster can deep snap a football besides Beau Brinkley.

    Other people can, I'm sure there's a few OL or LB's on the team that did it in high school or college. The difference is that a dedicated LS does it perfect every single time. With the way the NFL is, a slow or mis-located snap could easily result in a blocked punt or missed kick.

    Most every team has decided that making sure that play is perfect every time is more important than a 5th RB or 10th LB.
