I understand, this year I'm not really a fan of the 1st round DE's. I'd much rather take BPA and go d-line in the 2nd. Don't have a problem with Gilmore or Kirkpatrick.

I'm with you he is getting hyped up cause he is tall and has speed. He is a good player but people talking like he's top 10 are crazy. I want Dre personally. I like McCourty and Verner but I think Dre would match up well with taller receivers like Andre Johnson and such. He could play outside and let Verner play nickel or Dre takes over Finnegan's spot since he is physical, a great tackler, and has swagger about him that Finny brought to the team. Would be an awesome trio.

Would love any of them as well. Unfortunately I see the latter 3 gone but I've seen crazier things.

I'm pretty much on board with anyone from Bama or a top 3 DT who falls like Cox, Brockers, Poe. Chandler Jones is my wild card.

Let's say we get Barron. Then what? I'm not familiar with how safties go about starting from college.

    Are they week one starters?
Do they just go into rotation
Could we feasibly drop Griffin half way through the season?

I think our first round should contribute right away, if he doesn't it would tech be the 3rd year in a row our first round doesn't start in the season (sans locker wins the qp comp)

Gilmore doesn't suck he's just overrated tremendously. I've seen plenty of South Carolina games over the past couple of years and honestly I thought the guy would be a 2nd round pick at best. I really hope we don't go Gilmore in the 1st and I don't see how we take him over Dre Kirk. If we go CB in the 1st it's Dre Kirk or bust but I wouldn't be upset with Barron, BPA at DE or DL, or even Hightower if we really liked him.

Most people don't know who McCourty and Verner are but most can name Finnegan. In my opinion we have 2 #2 CB's starting for us with a couple of nice players on the bench. In today's game we're going to need to add some talent at that position and Dre Kirk has the potential to be a shut down pro bowl CB who actually fits in great with this defense and just adds to the versatility that Gray seems to be fascinated with.

I actually really like the mock, of course with Dre instead of Gilmore. I don't understand going with another CB later on though so I would change that. I'm a big fan of Johnson and Reyes could do a good job here. Along with Molk we fill pretty much all of our needs, would be a dream scenario for all that to happen.

Barron would definitely start over Babs, he's an instant upgrade for 10+ years. It would be a no brainer to take him and we seem to really like him but the chances of him falling are very slim. We need Dallas and the Jets to pass on him which is a reach and you never know if another team might surprise, I could see the Chargers.

Griffin will be here the full year and we might draft another FS next year or free agency.

Just because of the depth at DE, DT, and WR we should probably look for Kirkpatrick or barron to fall. Those 2 guys are day-1 starters, and would position us to grab another day-1 starer on the D-Line.
