Britt impressions: Receiver Kenny Britt, who spent part of his offseason working out in California, impressed his teammates on the first day of workouts.

“He came back and looked great during workouts,’’ quarterback Jake Locker said. “It sounds like he really got on his rehab and got his knee feeling a lot better and I’m really excited about how he came back.”

Britt had multiple knee surgeries last offseason, including two surgeries on the tore ACL from September 2011. He said at season’s ended he wasn’t 100 percent throughout the 2012 season.

McCourty believes he’ll be ready to go this fall.

“He was normal, laughing and joking,’’ McCourty said of Britt. “He did everything everybody else did in the lift, and what we all did in the running. He looks like the normal Kenny Britt.”

Really looks like he's headed down the Albert Haynesworth path of being a beast in his contract year and then getting paid elsewhere and totally falling off the map. Really doubt the Titans are the ones to pay him.

Maybe they will franchise him and get 2 good contract years out of him (like they did with Albert), but that's probably the most we can hope for.

He would have to be the dumbest human being alive to get in trouble during a contract year. I'm glad we have the option to keep him for an extra year though. Make him perform two years in a row and then try to give him a good contract. Hopefully he will be more mature and have his priorities in line by then.
