Back on the study, it's not exactly a study of intelligence as much as it's a study of how public information from these social sites can be used. It's obviously not an effective study, it's based off average SAT scores for the colleges associated with the members.

I do think that it's an interesting idea, but it's not really achieving what it claims to be doing.

I agree. It seems to restrict people as listening to one type of music. I exercise to Lil' Wayne and other types of ignorant rap and I fall asleep to classical music.

I made a 1350 on my SAT and hate Beethoven. Of course, none of the artists that I really listen to are on that list. I think this study says more about the average Facebook users intelligence than anything else.

Nah that's got to be Andre 3000, easy.;)

And as much as I dislike Wayne, any hip hop head has to like Dr. Carter.

I wonder where someone like Lupe Fiasco would fall into this chart

Well, it's based off of people's self reported favorite artist. Yet another reason it isn't very accurate.

You're forgetting the fact the Dre had writters for his first few CDs (Cube with NWA and the DOC).

There are not many rappers that are worse than Soulja Boy. And Lil' Wayne by himself is horrible, although he's mediocre on guest appearences. There are still plenty of great rappers, and they don't get enough respect. And legends like Rakim, Pac, BIG, KRS-One, Ice-T, Cube, & Scarface don't ever get enough respect.

Eh. I just think it means people can like whatever they like, or maybe rep whatever they like. Except the ultra-smart, who apparently don't like much of anything at all. Too busy "passing the petaflop barrier" or something.

Really, and forgive me because this'll sound kitsch --pretentious bad taste, like the test itself -- but the test is like a Rorschach. (Oh, no he didn't.) It's a random subjective psychological impression splattered out, kind of roughshodly gathered from offguardedly available data.

This crap is probably meant to be cyber artistic somehow. If so, I think I effin hate it.

And not to snatch anybody's cookies if someone already said that joint.

Lil Wayne.:lol: I will say for now he has come up, though. Commercially, yes, probably #2 lyricist behind Jay-Z. Commercially.

But there's a muzzle of emcees who could roast his corny @$$ in a very revealing non-violent kind of way. It seems most know that.

But o-mighty that verbal meandering crap he does...not genius. It just works out sometimes. Reminds me of early to pretty-late-in-the-game Master P.

Also reminds me of the way he plays guitar. He's riffing, but it's just...not...working...out. Did somebody think to teach him first? It's a fine line between bad and original. Somebody tell him! Wayne. Please.
