Man, what? Getting scoped right now before the season starts? What kind of injury even requires that?

The Titans just signed this guy to a long term contract. If we sit him week 1 of the regular season, would that help his career 3 years from now? Has Fisher said anything about the injury?

Titans RT Stewart scheduled for knee scope

    Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky
Titans left tackle David Stewart is having a knee scoped Thursday to resolve an injury suffered in the preseason opener against the Rams, Jim Wyatt is reporting.
Stewart's been a durable mauler for the Titans since taking over the position in 2006. He could return for the preseason finale against Green Bay on Aug. 28. But even if he doesn't, he'll be on track to return for the regular season opener on Sept. 7.
Daniel Loper, who's made himself a valuable backup by proving able to play both tackle and guard, will take over in Stewart's absence.

It doesn't seem to be that big of a deal, so hopefully it's not. I love 'big country' and would to see him miss any significant time.

Try to not make your posts so dramatic next time....You almost gave me a heart attack like he was going to miss the season or something. It's 2 preseason games that we probably shouldn't even be playing him in.

Yeah, this obviously isn't a good thing but it's not exactly cause for panic.

It's only a scope for a torn cartilage.

    Tennessean report: http://tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080814/SPORTS01/80814030/1002/SPORTS

Just a cartilage tear and if he's expected to miss only two weeks it has to be just a partial tear. Fisher said it was best to get it done and over with, and taken care of now instead of later.
