Stephen Tulluch deserves Pro Bowl

I think he has been one of the worst players on the defense all year and has been a HUGE dissapointment..he really needs to step it up. He has made so many mistakes over the middle in the passing game and he has whiffed on many tackles too.

 

He also deserves to have his name spelled correctly. Stephen Tulloch, not "Tulluch".

 

He's great at stopping the run, but absurdly awful in coverage, not a pro-bowler until he shapes up in the pass game.

 

Sadly you are correct. Stephen is one of the best tackling LBs in the league, but also one of the worst coverage LBs in the league.

 

Only defensive guys who have played well ALL year is Babin, Ball, ATV, and Griff. Everyone else has been on and off. Finny has been Crap. Even Nick Harper-ish. Just when i thought we had a shutdown corner.

 

I think the reason Finny has been so bad is because the corner opposite of him has always been so much worse than him, aka Nick Harper for years that most passes would go to the opposite side of the field. Now that we have two even CB's and you could argue that ATV is playing better then way more passes go to Finny's side & he isn't able to keep up. I don't want to think hes been really overrated this time but he just looks slow and lost A LOT. Maybe this sounds retarded but it's just an idea.

 

Babin and Ball are pretty terrible to be completely honest. And Finnegan has had problems stopping speed guys but done great on big receivers (look at Brandon Marshall) Plus he is playing on the right side for the first time in his career so give him a bit of slack.

 

Cortland has been playing solo against opposition #1 WR most of the season and he has been schooled a few times. But considering his assignment I think he has done pretty real good overall

as for Tulloch - fish face would play a Madascar midget if he could help stuff the run. It is quite obvious that fish face would rather die a 1000 deaths thru the air as he allows Witherspoon and Tulloch to be constantly abused by third tier TEs & FBs - pathetic.

 

Who else is going to play in the nickel and dime packages?
