Dude come on ! I've lived in Houston for over forty years and I promise you I could go to Tenn and find more hillbillys then in Houston.
And if you're talking about the guys driving around in 4x4 F250's without a scratch on em.I would hardly call them rednecks. Those would be classified as "Good Ol Boys".
Now if you had said "I've never seen so many Mexicans Outside of Mexico" then I could believe it.
We have NASA and the best cancer research hospital in the world. Along with the best economy in the US. I wouldnt think Rednecks would be able to accomplish that.
The redneck days in Houston ended a long time ago. Now it's just heritage.

I was driving through Tenn years ago and saw a guy walking down the highway wearing overalls no shirt no shoes and a floppy straw hat. I cant say in all my forty some odd years in Texas that I have ever seen that.
