We may have the opportunity to draft the premier G and/or DT. David DeCastro (G, Stanford) or Dontari Poe (DT/NT, Memphis) thoughts?

Poe may be selected early (after his showing at the combine), but DeCastro could be available.

DE is still our biggest need.

Morgan is unproven and a bust thus far.
Wimbley had 7 sacks last year, 4 of which came in one game.
We have zero other proven DEs on our roster.

This is what scares me.

If, IF there is a good DE availiable, by all means, take him.

But DO NOT take one just because we need one. If he ain't there, take something else.

MAKE SURE we get a solid starter for years to come in round one. DO NOT WIFF drafting for need.

I hate drafting for need. We need to take the best defensive player available.

Amen to that. If all the DLs are gone by then and so is Barron then we need to take Michael Floyd.

So far, looking like a historically normal bad 1st round pick for the Titans.

Before we invest (possibly waste) another 1st rounder on the DE position, let's make sure that Morgan does not have a promising future. I think we should do something else first round this year before we pull a 2000s Lions and throw multiple 1st rd. picks at a position trying to fill a need.

The pick will be best defensive player available. I don't think OL will even be a consideration in round 1.

Agreed, and it's likely going to be a DE.

We need a defensive lineman badly who can rush the passer and dominate. If there is one there, then it's obvious you take them. Nick Perry from USC, Devon Still from PSU, or Courtney Upshaw from Ala could all be there. If so we pull the trigger. If not, you have to get someone who can come in and contribute right away. I agree that if the best player there is a WR we have to take them. Who looking back now, wouldn’t go back and take Dez Bryant over Derrick Morgan? That’s what happens when you draft for need over BPA.
