The most recent mock from GBN has us taking Warmack in the 1st and Datone Jones in the 2nd.

We are not in the position to take a flyer on a guy with potential. We have got to land a solid leader and day 1 starter from the 10th pick.

Ansah was great in the game, but all week he under impressed in the drills.

Keeping with the theme of the thread's title, could we potentially see another WR in Rd. 1, a la Cordarelle Patterson? Just throwing it out there for discussion. Wright hopefully develops, but from what he has shown he is a slot guy at this point. Washington will be 30 this year. Who knows what Britt will bring, he is a wildcard and can't be counted on to contribute 16 games. It is a long offseason and he may have another run in with the law. D Williams is a servicable 4th WR.

Patterson would add a playmaking dynamic to our WR corps. Although he is still raw, anyone with speed can run a go route. He would be the Mike Wallace for our offense. He is also a dynamite return guy, and would imediately upgrade that unit. Locker has a cannon arm, this would let him test it out and keep defenses from constantly keeping the box stacked.

To be honest, I dont see us going DE @ #10. Our FO is sold on Wimbley & Morgan as starters. I'm OK with that, but we def need some depth in Rds 2-4.

You guys forgot how much a great DT, like AH, impacted our entire defense. The games he was in were 6-2. When he got injured we lost 3 straight. I think if we get a dominant DT, then he will make everyone around him better!

For example if you have a star DT that requires 2 blockers, then he opens it up for the DE's to get pressure on te qb and therefore it makes the corners and safeties look so much better!!

Our top priority should be finding that star DT, then fixing the Oline.

Locker is one of the worst qb's in the league at throwing the deep ball. Only one worse is hasselback!

Nah man, Morgan is gonna be a good player for us, just you watch. And IMO Wimbley would be much better if he had a half decent DT next to him.

As for Datone Jones, it could happen. Like others have said, our front office always keeps us guessing on draft day.

Also, we've been getting some good players from UCLA so who knows...

I watched the team competitions yesterday where they mess round at combine i think it was and patterson seemed awfully slow in short cuts and half heartedly going through the motions i thought....
