Oh, btw, how old is Hasselbeck?

And how many second year QB's have won a super bowl?

Off of the top of my head....Big Ben comes to mind. Also, not sure if Montana was in his second or third season, but he was new as a starter when he won.

All of this may be academic anyway....reports are that the Broncos plane just departed Denver....destination Raleigh.

Meh. I don't think anyone can argue that McNair stayed 2 seasons too long...

    At least.

McNair had a good season in 2005 and had a really good season in 2006 with Ravens.

Joe Montana won a Super Bowl in 1990 against the Denver Bronco's at 34... He throttled them to.

If you want to go there with this stats, and hoopla.

Who would you want as our QB next season, Matt Hasselbeck or Payton manning. That should boil it down.

Off the top of my head...
Ben Roethlisburger drafted in 04, won in 05
Kurt Warner - 3rd stringer for Rams 98-99, won the SB in the 1999-2000 season
Tom Brady - drafted in 2000, sat behind bledsoe, won the SB in 2001

So yeah, the odds are MUCH more favorable to win a superbowl with a 2nd year QB than a QB over 35.

I love how NO ONE does research on this board. You all need to take the emotion out of it and look from a pure statistical standpoint.

Anyone else want me to do their homework for them?

Just like in my post above, a 2nd year quarterback has a much better chance to win a superbowl than a QB over the age of 35 (i.e. Manning or Hasselbeck) so can I pick Locker?

I wasn't a believer at first... but once I saw Locker play in the NFL... he's got real talent and we shouldn't let it waste away on the bench watching a has-been play. I can only imagine how Brady felt watching the has-been drew Bledsoe play when Brady knew he could go out there and light it up
