So 200 more yards but only one more TD? Man that team looked to be in shambles. Stats definitely aren't bad for how mediocre the offensive line played.

Morris' cap number next season: $600,000.
You can get functional RB at an affordable price, that's what my point is. Cant just hand it off to CJ 25 times a game in the hope he busts one out.

For me, the decision comes down to this.......

Do we need 6 million dollars to spend on someone else.

If not, keep him. If we do, cut him.

Yeah because finding a 1200+ yards back in the 6th round is so easy to do. Do you think he's gonna be cheap when his rookie contract expires?

Haha you are so crazy. Let's cut our best player! Let's risk our entire season on a mid round pick!

Since 2008, only 4 running backs drafted rounds 4-undrafted have ran for over 1000 yards. Zac Stacy, Alfred Morris, Andre Ellington, and Peyton Hillis. That's an average of under 1 player per year that could put up CJs floor. The risk of cutting CJ and then going into the draft trying to find that one player and being in position to draft him is extremely risky. Not even close to be worth it. A new OC should motivate him to better his game.

This is exactly my take on CJ at this point. If we're gonna use his salary on upgrades at other positions like DB/DL or OL then cut him. But if we're just gonna sit on the money, might as well keep him.

No back in this league is being paid so much for so little.

Is cutting this waste of a grill really a question?

    Cut the useless bum!
